Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake is sponsoring Share the Hope, a benefit concert event supporting ASTOP. Share the Hope will take place on Wednesday, August 13 at Deacon Mills Park, 534 Mill Street at 6:30 p.m. Share the Hope is a family-oriented community concert event bringing people together, serving a common need and sharing hope in local communities. ASTOP began in 1992 as a way to assist survivors of sexual abuse in the greater Fond du Lac, Ripon and Green Lake communities. They offer legal, medical and law enforcement advocacy, provide cost-free treatment for individuals and families, reach out to the hurting in the community, and prevent the reoccurrence of sexual abuse by educating others. In addition, ASTOP offers emotional security, comfort, and safety for those affected by sexual assault. With songs that inspire and encourage hope, Mike Westendorf is a storyteller at heart. From Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he is a professional Christian artist with an ability to draw an audience into the songs and the moments they describe. Westendorf cares about sharing the experience of hope and joy in Jesus Christ through his music. With his authentic style and delivery, he connects with audiences of all ages. He has been touring and recording for more than 10 years. To learn more and to listen to sound clips, visit www.mikewestendorf.com.
